Absolutely loved my experience at Rivertown Eye Care! Dr. Eric Slapnicher took so much time and detailed care to dial in on my fairly complicated and changing prescription. We found both contacts and glasses options that work for my various needs (e.g., distance/driving, lots of computer time, everyday wear). The optical department staff has always been incredibly kind, accommodating, and educational about my various options, and they have the most gorgeous selection of frames. Fabulous decor, excellent music, and safe, considerate staffing will have me coming back for all my eye care needs for years to come. Can't recommend Rivertown highly enough!

The clinic renovations are beautiful! The staff is warm and inviting right when you walk in. They seem to go above and beyond to ensure you get the best care possible. The opticians are very knowledgeable with the up-to-date trends and amazing frame selections. Their sunglasses selection is top-notch! The doctors are very personable and take the time to address your concerns. I always have a great experience each time I enter the front doors!

From start to finish, I was so pleased with the service I got and I'm so excited for my new glasses! Mackenzie, Dr. Eric, and Eric the gentleman who helped me choose my frames - superior service from all. The receptionist was also very gracious. From the moment I walk in the door, I am treated like family (a guest), not a consumer. All of the employees go above and beyond to give the best customer service experience possible. I started going to Rivertown Eye Care as a child and I did try several others for a few years, but quickly realized nothing could compare. I have been back for many years and will not look elsewhere. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

"Nothing Short of Amazing."
Great place! Amazing with all ages! I've been going here since I was in high school (I am 34 yo now) and everyone is nothing short of amazing. I had to bring my toddler in the other day and they were so comforting towards him and were able to do their eye check without issue. They are kind, patient, and thorough. Thanks for such an amazing experience and thank you for making our toddler's experience great!

"The Best Location Within the Twin Cities."
This is the best location within the Twin Cities to have a thorough yearly eye exam. Dr. McGree, Dena is very kind, intelligent, and is beyond attention to detail in her work. Our eyes are so important, and Dr. McGree treats your eyes as if they were her own. Dr. McGree answered every question that I had, did not rush me at all during my eye exam, and reviewed my eye health past/present to ensure my eyes stay as healthy as possible. Thank you!
When it comes to getting quality prescription glasses/sunglasses, you do not have far to go! Everyone within the Optical Team is knowledgeable, kind, intelligent, and really do all they can to make sure you receive the best eyewear possible. Karisa is amazing and spent time with me to make sure I found the best frame and color of lens possible. (SALT.) Karisa reviewed my insurance and made sure every benefit offered to me was applied towards my frames and lenses.
Last but not least, the front desk staff is always kind and inviting when you enter through the front doors. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and that is appreciated!

I've had only great experiences here. My most recent visit was Monday. I had an eye injury, so I needed to get in ASAP, and they did just that. They have excellent doctors and staff. Great exams and a great selection of glasses.

"I Won't Go Anywhere Else."
I was 14-years-old when Dr. Joe first examined my eyes. Now in my 50s, I still trust him or his son, Dr. Eric, with my vision health. My husband and four adult sons do, too.
And the clinic is a welcoming environment for all ages. Hot tea or a cold beverage in a real, healthy-sized cup while fitted for your eyeglasses? Yes, please! Dr. Joe now works only two days a week. He's earned it! Still, Dr. Eric has done an excellent job of carrying out his father's legacy of excellence in patient care. They genuinely care about the people they serve and their community. I've lived all over the Twin Cities and in five states. I won't go anywhere else for my vision care needs.
